Just back from yet another glorious weekend with great weather, great friends and a great atmosphere. My only concern is that camping at Stanford Hall is becoming a little too popular and the evening's once-quiet noise levels had certainly risen this year. It's only a minor quibble about what was an otherwise perfect weekend.
What better location for camping over the bank-holiday weekend than the grounds of a stately home? Extremely good value for money too. See you there next year - just turn the volume down at midnight alright?
Hey Stone174 - loving the colour of the van and thinking of changing our white to Stone Blue. One quick question - where did you get your bonnet protector from? Thx, Stokesy.
ReplyDeleteHi Lee, the bra is from The Bra Factory: http://www.thebrafactory.co.uk/ a sister-company of CMC: http://www.c-m-c.org.uk/
DeleteOne word of warning: don't keep the bra on too long or during bad weather; moisture and dirt can get trapped underneath and cause pain damage and blistering. I made the mistake a few years ago in Cornwall in September (warm sunny days and cold nights) causing the paint to blister.

Hi Stone174 - Very nice blog and van too. Quick one - You say not to keep it on for long. I was just about to
ReplyDeletepurchase for two weeks in france. Would you not advise to keep on all the time then? Regards, Andy
Hi Andy, thanks for your comments.
DeleteMake sure your bonnet is clean and freshly waxed/polished before putting the bra on. If the weather is good, by all means keep it on - I'd still periodically check the bonnet for micro-blisters, especially if you have warm days and cool nights.
These days I only use the bra for long distance/motorway journeys and then take it off at the destination. After traveling through rain it makes sense to remove the bra and clean the bonnet (and inside the bra) to stop dirt and grit from rubbing against paintwork - it has been known for bras to cause more damage than they're trying to protect!
I wouldn't recommend leaving a bra on for long periods of time. Have a great time in France and a safe trip.
